Like many of you, I know that fear goes beyond scary movies and creepy insects. Fear is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, whether the threat is real or imagined. It is the feeling or condition of being afraid, apprehensive, or uneasy. It is my feeling when I set a goal to write something helpful and impactful, but I am overwhelmed with blog stuff like keywords, SEO strategies, and pleasing my audience while staying true to myself. But I made it! I’m here typing away the fear, simply because I decided to do it scared. Below are my 7 tips to help you do it scared too!

How to do it Scared
1. Prepare yourself.
Get ready mentally and physically to take on the task that has you feeling scared. Practice, do research, and read, so you feel as prepared as possible.
2. Talk to others for encouragement and support.
Reach out to friends and family for emotional support. Their words can give you the strength you need to keep going.
3. Release the tension.
Meditation, deep slow breathing, and massage therapy are just a few ways to release the tension that fear causes. Think of what relaxes you and helps you to calm down. Is it a person, a song, or a relaxing place? Find a way to experience a moment of calm.
4. Look for success stories.
The truth is that people overcome their fears every day. Those people are no different than you. Being scared and facing fears are a normal part of life. Successfully overcoming your fears is a part of life as well.
5. Use positive affirmations
Positive affirmations are a great way to use the power of words for good. They can combat negative thoughts and feelings that often creep into our minds to wreak havoc. Remind yourself that you are fully capable of doing great things. Challenges are in our lives to help us grow stronger and wiser.
